Complaints
Complaints about the editorial process, the conduct of editors, reviewers, authors or publication staff, or about published content may be sent in writing to the publisher at contact@rdpub.co, giving the journal name, manuscript or article details and the reason for the complaint. Complaints are acknowledged within seven days and investigated by a person not involved in the matter. A reply with the outcome is normally sent within 30 days.
Appeals against editorial decisions
Authors may appeal against a rejection by sending a letter to the Editor-in-Chief explaining, point by point, why the decision should be reconsidered and providing supporting evidence. An appeal may be made once and must be submitted within 30 days of the decision. Appeals are considered by the Editor-in-Chief or by an editor who was not involved in the original decision, who may seek additional reviews. The decision on an appeal is final. Appeals that merely express disagreement without new evidence or arguments will not be considered.
Unresolved complaints
Where a complaint concerns publication ethics and cannot be resolved with the journal or publisher, it may be referred to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) following its published guidance.
