AUTHOR GUIDANCE

For Authors

Practical guidance for authors preparing manuscripts for Research Direct Publisher journal platforms.

Prepare

Review the selected journal scope, formatting expectations, references, figures, tables, authorship details, and ethical declarations before submission.

  • Submitted manuscripts should be original and properly cited.
  • Authors should disclose conflicts of interest, AI tool usage, scientific contributions of each author and funding, ethical approvals where applicable.

Submit

Submit manuscripts through the relevant online journal platform and follow editorial instructions provided during screening and review.

Publish

Accepted papers move through production and are published online for open access reading, citation, and discovery. All papers will be published under Open Access  Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 license. Authors retain full copyright, with the first publication right granted to the journal.

Before you submit

Choose the journal whose aims and scope match your work: the International Journal of Theoretical & Applied Computational Intelligence (IJTACI) or the Journal of Digital Intelligence and Knowledge Discovery (JDIKD). Each journal website contains its own aims and scope, author guidelines, manuscript template and submission system. Manuscripts must be original, not under consideration elsewhere, and must follow the journal template and reference style.

Peer review and timelines

All manuscripts are screened for scope and similarity and then reviewed by at least two independent reviewers (single-blind). See the Editorial Process and Peer Review Policy. The target time from submission to acceptance is about 75 days.

Charges and waivers

There are no submission fees. IJTACI: no article processing charge applies to manuscripts submitted before 1 January 2028; from 1 January 2028 an APC of US$250 applies to accepted articles, with waivers based on Research4Life country groups. JDIKD: no article processing charges. Details are on the Revenue / Business Model page.

Authors’ rights and licence

Authors retain copyright and articles are published under CC BY 4.0. Authors may self-archive any version of their article. See Open Access, Copyright and Licensing.

Ethics and integrity

Authors must follow the Publication Ethics policy, including rules on authorship, conflicts of interest, research data, ethical approval and the use of generative AI, and the Corrections, Retractions and Research Integrity policy. Authors who disagree with a decision may use the Complaints and Appeals procedure.

Indexing

Please see the Indexing and Abstracting page for the current status of the journals. RDPub does not guarantee acceptance, indexing or any impact factor.
